A Worthy Shipmate . . Contributed By Arlen Coyle, Oxford, MississippiOn Friday, November 13, 1998 This whole website was created from scratch, and maintained solely, by one man: Alan Oskvarek, a 100% disabled Navy veteran. Maintaining the site is costing Alan more than he can afford on his disability allowance, and he is offering the site for sale. If you are reading this message, then you know how valuable this website is--it means something important to you and it preserves the memories of 58,000 young Americans who had everything important to them taken away. If this site passes out of Alan's hands, it probably will fade into nothingness--like so many other things that Vietnam touched. So dig into your pocket and send Alan some money and tell him how important this website and his work are to you. Remember: Don't give 'til it hurts. Just give 'til it feels good.
