Marine personnel USS Princeton LP5 1967-68 . . Contributed By Danny A. KincaidOn Wednesday, November 04, 1998 I was stationed on the Princeton during the westpac tours in 1967 and 1968. The Marines on board during our operations in vietnam took a hell of a toll. I would like to know the outfits and maybe make contact with of those who were there in 67-68. I was a storkeeper in the supply S-1 office at that time. I made friends with many of the marines who came into our office for supply's. I would especially like to make contact with the marine who through a dummy grenade in our office one night. We didn't know it was a dummy. I hold no hard feelings but would like to know how that particular marine is doing.
My Father . . Contributed By Janet BitzerOn Thursday, November 05, 1998 My father Gary Palmer died in Vietnam in Oct 1968. I never had a chance to know him or what he was about. My opinion is, it was a senseless act on the Governments part to send young men and women over to Vietnam. I am not pro-war, my husband was even in Saudi. We were both in the U.S. Army, but I saw how petty the Gov't was through the years with my funds that I got for my dad dying for their decision. It just didn't make up for the loss of my father.
VFW Project . . Contributed By C/PFC Stephen HetzelOn Saturday, November 07, 1998 To Whomever This May Concern: My name is C/PFC Stephen Hetzel, MCJROTC 12th Marine Corps District, Company "Bravo", and I am also a member of the BSA. My unit and I are searching for a project with a local VFW or other Veteran's Group that would be in need of a Eagle Scout Project. The project would need to be in the Western Washington area. Preferably within 1 hour of Kent. We have approx. 80 Cadets and approx. 25 others, who would be willing to contribute their services for a worthy cause. This project needs to help those in the general public, and needs to number approx. 500 man hours. We are specifcally searching for a Veteran's group because we would like to show our appreciation because as being JROTC, we understand the sacrifices that were made. Any help that you can render would be appreciated.

Attempting to contact my Brother -- Ronald Keeler . . Contributed By Larry L. KeelerOn Tuesday, November 10, 1998 Ronald Keeler, my older Brother who would be 53 years of age this year, served several yearly tours in Vietnam. Surprisingly, we were both assigned to Vietnam in 1970. My assignment with the 218th MP Co., Nha Trang; and his in (or near) 7th PSYOPS. Ron promoted from SP/5 to a Warrant Officer status after his successful completion of a Defense Language Interpreter Course near Monterey, CA. He retired from he Army as a CW4 in 1981 or 1982, and has been running around "somewhere" ever since. (We're both rather adventuresome "Type A" people). Anyway, we both have lost connections, possibly by absolute fluke or design. Anyone know where my Brother is located? Or, and especially if Ron is reading this : " Contact Me " (I'm well, but not that well).
