I'm looking for anyone who knew my Uncle Billy. He was from Detroit,Mi and 20 yrs.old when he died in action 2/4/69,HUA NGHIA S.VietNam. He was in Co. C 2/27th Infantry 25th Division. I was only 10 when he died but he'll live in my heart forever. I'd like to speak to any of the many friends he had. I remember quite a few guys in uniform at his funeral. I have a braclet with the above name on it. I would really like to return it to a family member. I have been wearing it sence 1985 and can not seem to find any information on this individual. David is my adopted POW/MIA and I am seeking any info from relatives or anyone who served with him in Vietnam. I have a remembrance page up in his honor, but I am trying to get more info on him for the page, maybe even a photo if I am lucky enough to get one. Here is the info that I do know: He was an O4/USAF Hometown: West Liberty, OH Date of Loss: 4 Oct 67, South Vietnam. He was flying a U10B Aircraft in the Binh Duong Province when his plane went down 5 miles west of Ben Cat. I also know that before he went off to Vietnam, in 1962, he was serving as an assistant professor of history at the US Air Force Academy. Any info at at all on David would be greatly appreciated. On July 26th, it will be 28 years since Robert L. Asmuth died in Quang Tin, South Vietnam. If you knew Bob, please contact me. He was 1Lt-Army-Reserve. I have visited the wall several times and it never gets easier. Bob will always be in my heart and although he died at a very young age, he has remained a very important part of my life.
