PFC WAYNE MORRIS LENDERMAN . . Contributed By Lisa K. Lenderman-UhlsOn Wednesday, March 18, 1998 I am the little sister of Wayne Morris Lenderman, PFC Army, 1st Log Command, and am desperately seeking anyone who served with him. Wayne was killed 10/12/69 in Binh Dinh, South Vietnam. His death was listed as non-hostile ground casualty, "accidental homicide." I was 6 years old. Childhood memories of my brother are warm and loving, but I NEED to hear about the man that came from the brother I loved so much. My own son at 17 is the spitting image of his uncle and shares in part his name. Wayne is survived by his mother Sharon, siblings Ricky, Dennis, Laurie, and Lisa, and numerous neices and nephews. Having passed after Wayner are his father, Stirl, and brother Brian. My personal expressions of deepest honor and respect to all our vets and their families for your personal sacrifices.
Robert Phillips, 6/23/70 . . Contributed By Annemarie BrownOn Thursday, March 19, 1998 My family was stationed in Ft, Benning in the early 70's. While in 2nd grade I began wearing the POW bracelet of PFC Robert Phillips, Date (6/23/70). The date held special meaning, because my brother was born the same day. I also seem to remember that he was from OH. I don't believe he ever came home. I visited the moving wall in the mid 80's and know he was listed on it. While recently helping my son with a school project, I have searched the Wall web sites for info on him. I have been unable to locate a PFC Robert Phillips with that casualty date. However, there is SSG Robert Paul Phillips whose tour of duty began that same date, and whose casualty date is 2/13/79. If anyone could help me verify that this is the same solider or explain the differences in the dates and rank,I would appreciate it.
