. . Contributed By Dirk SkogerboeOn 12/07/97:
Looking for anyone who knew and served with my uncle. He was only in country 24 days as a rifle platoon leader with the 25th infantry division and lost his life en route to a defensive position near Cu Chi Aug.24, 1969. Details at the wall say it was near Hua Nghia. My family is aware that another soldier died in that action as well (radio operator I think), But we would like to learn about him as well. Is there any resource or media that we could access to learn more of the circumstances? To all vets.a sincere thank you for your devotion and duty. God Bless.

To the team near Muang Lan , Laos on 10 OCT 68. I didn't know any of you by name but I want you to know we were coming to get you out and diverted on a dust off for a team in contact. We went down and I was the only one out I thought until 1990 when I found out our pilot had made it out. I prayed that they got all of you out but I could never find out. I'm sorry we never made it back to you.
